The Thank-You Project

Stellar news: One of my favorite people, the wonderful writer, podcaster, and all-around-fantastic-gal, Nancy Davis Kho, has a book coming out in December - The Thank-You Project, Cultivating Happiness One Letter of Gratitude at a Time. Yay!

More stellar news: You can pre-order it here. Yay! Yay!

Extra credit stellar news: Today is her birthday. Yaaaaay!

What's the book about? Nancy explains it like this:

I feel super lucky to be able to share the story about the year I wrote thank-you letters to 50 people, places, and pastimes that had shaped me, inspired me, and helped me become the person I am. The letters were written to family and friends, of course, but also teachers, bosses, mentors, authors, cities and yes, a handful of ex-boyfriends and former friends. (Don’t worry, you don’t have to mail every letter you write to yield the happiness benefits of gratitude ðŸ˜‰) It was a wholly unexpected way to find more peace during what turned out to be a trying and turbulent time, and it is still working, three years later.

I had the extreme pleasure of reading an advance copy of The Thank-You Project and it is fantastic. Part how-to, part the science behind gratitude, and part compelling memoir, I loved it. I know you will too.
(Order a few of them now and your holiday gift list will be mostly complete - Nine months early! You're welcome.)

Ghost Selfie

Photo of a ghost at the bottom of a haunted escalator or photo I forgot I took and just now found on my phone of me god-knows-why in an empty hotel corridor? You be the judge.

Super Fan

So. Awards Night happened. While I did not win, I had a fantastic time with some of my favorite people. And the most thrilling part? The Iris Awards host for the evening, Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon.

Something you probably don't know about me: I follow only one celeb on Instagram and that celeb is the delightful Adam Rippon. His Insta Stories level me.

We had so much to talk about.

Because of my past career in TV, I've met more celebrities than I can count. I am rarely a fawning super fan. Obviously, this time was different. I fawned hard.

He's debuting a new show on youtube this week. And I am extremely here for it.

We had a moment. I adore him, you guys.

And for one shining prom night moment, best friends forever.

Howdy

So, I'm having a miserable time in Austin, obviously.

Wednesday in Texas

I'm in Austin for a few days. I'm looking forward to seeing some friends, eating some things, learning some stuff, and celebrating a bit because why not? It's like a little mid-week miracle. Even the rain is working for me.
