ReplyDeleteReading it, I was afraid for him, too, but I should have known better. He got out of the scary fix all on his own ("Oh, silly me, of course he would!"), and now has an enhanced sense of his own ability to get himself out of scrapes (and maybe the beginnings of thinking about not getting himself into them in the first place :-) ), which I hope he'll remember for the rest of his long, happy and productive life.
