Farewell, Our Pearl
Friends,
I am sorry to report that our sweet cat, Pearl has lost a brief battle with a fast moving cancer. She was a swell kitty and a sweet friend. In her memory, I am linking here to the story of how we met.
We will miss her deeply.
Don't forget to hug your people - the fur ones and the other ones.
Lisa

Bob, Pearl is hanging out with some AWESOME cat dudes in heaven!
ReplyDeleteI hope she runs into Sam who was my cat when I was your age. He liked to lie on his back and watch everyone in the room. with all paws pointed skyward he could spin around on the wooden floor so he didn't miss anything.
Bob & Family, so damn sorry for your loss. Ishkabibble awaits Pearl. So does Tucker, the light of my life. Though a dog, she bowed to the presence and elegance of The Cat.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear this. It's so hard to lose fuzzy family members. Sending thoughts your way.
ReplyDeleteOh poor Pearl :(
ReplyDeleteYou guys are in my thoughts big time xxx
Yes, farewell, Pearl. You were sure a sweet kitty.
ReplyDeletePearl was a beautiful person (sic) who is probably enjoying a nice Stella bath in heaven. Thank you for sharing your life with us! I look forward to the updates every morning, I hope your readers will lift your spirits as you grieve the loss of your kitty. It may not compare to the way your lift our spirits everday, but it's a good start!
ReplyDeleteExtra kitty snacks for my boys tonight in honor of Pearl.
So sorry to hear about Pearl. It's never easy to lose a pet, so I hope each day is easier than the last!

The loss of a beloved pet is a true loss. Grief is involved and yet- it is a part of life and as such, is some sort of preparation for children as they learn that loss is hard and yet, we go on.
ReplyDeleteMy own Pearl (and that really is her name) is a very, very old boxer dog and I hug her every day, knowing that her time with us is getting shorter. Thanks for the reminder.
So very sorry. xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteLove to all of you. RIP Sweet Pearl.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww... sad for you all. Hugs to you all. Love to you all. xoxoxox
ReplyDeleteBoth of these stories touched my heart. I sure hope this doesn't cause you more gray hair patches. Pearl is in a happier place -- kitty heaven!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so sorry.
ReplyDeleteI remember what it felt like to lose childhood pets.
I so remember.
Love to Bob.
Hugs to all of you. My kitty babies will eat some tuna tonight in memory of your Pearl. My real babies will throw the tuna I try to feed them on the floor and then the kitties will get twice as much. Story of my life ..
ReplyDeleteReally, I am sorry for your loss and am sending love and support.

she was the cutest cat ever.. she doesnt deserve cancer- its too ungly
ReplyDeleteHugs to Pearl's sweet family.
ReplyDeletePearl, please be on the lookout for Betty, Mary, Bub, Lucille and Dr. Forbes Martin. Also Roger Martin, a very nice blonde lab. They're all in heaven and I miss them all except for Dr. Forbes, whom I didn't know. But, I know he was very nice, just like you.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to lose a beloved pet family member. But, I thank God that I knew them all.
Love,
Miss Ilene
RIP Pearl. ):
ReplyDeletePet goodbyes are hard goodbyes.
Peace to the Bob Rosenbergs.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a family member is never easy.
ReplyDeleteWe lost our beloved cat Wiggum this past July. I LOVED that cat. He got sick and died almost over night at age 13. I still find myself missing him. It is amazing how much we can love animals isn't it? I am sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteWell. I'm certainly not taking this very well, considering I never met Pearl and am still all tears right now. The furry creatures in our lives never lose their innocence and unconditional loyalty. It's why the loss feels so profound--we know we are losing a soul so full of grace and love.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a way to comfort with you. I'm sending all of you love.

I'm so sorry. Poor Bob, how's he taking this?
ReplyDeleteRest in Peace, Pearl.
ReplyDeleteOh, my sympathy and love to your family. and for you to lose her so quickly likely makes things even harder to bear. We said goodbye to our cat, Tru, a few months ago, and my daughter handled it well -- sad but brave throughout. The book "Cat Heaven" comforted both of us; you guys might like it. I resisted because of the "heaven" part of the title, but then succumbed and am glad I did. Hugs to all the Rosenbergs.
