Bob's baseball coach, Coach Larry, yells to his players when one of them strikes to, "Re-set!" Feet back in the box, choke up on the bat, elbows up, ready for the next pitch. On Mondays, Teddy re-sets by staring out the front windows, waiting for Bob and Mr. Rosenberg to come back home. I get back in the batter's box with laundry and dishes and lists and calendars and coffee. Re-set, everyone.

A great analogy. Our current little rescue cairn only resets for one meal to the next; but once we had a pair of cairn who bounced like Tigger when their loved ones came up the walk.
ReplyDeleteCairns are adorable. xo
