"Can I have a chocolate, Mom?"

"No, Bob. You've already had a treat today."

"This day just got sort of bad."

"Sorry."

"Hey, Mom? Why did the chicken cross the road?"

"Why?"

"To get to Bob's bad day."

    Best Bobbism to date. I've got a feeling Bob's going to be threatening to move to Australia younger than Alexander was when Viorst first wrote what is still my favorite kid's book. (Although, for troubled kids, there's nothing as good as Love You Forever. Breaks my heart just thinking about it.)
