Our sweet Daisy endured an overnight-er at the emergency pet clinic, a trip to our regular vet, and numerous tests and procedures at the veterinary specialist. What we thought was a simple tummy problem has turned out to be much more.
Daisy has advanced cancer. She has tumors in her liver and her heart; her tiny puppy heart. She's only eight years-old and this is completely unexpected. She's back home with us now and we are giving her lots of treats and hugs during this time we have left with her.
Read a little more about Daisy here.
Awww. Poor Daisy. I am so sorry you had to find this out. My thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family. x
ReplyDeleteDear Lisa, I'm so so sorry. What a blessing you guys found each other, though! Enjoy each other and then find peace knowing she had a good good life. All my love...
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear of Daisy's illness. Our granddog Sadie passed over the Rainbow Bridge this weekend, she was about 14 years old. Love on Daisy as long as you can. (((hugs))) and prayers for you all.
ReplyDeleteTHis is sad. We lost our dog, Coco, almost 25 years ago, to cancer. She was a chocolate lab, only 8, and it was too soon. I am so sorry.
ReplyDeleteAw, Lisa, much much love to you and Daisy. Love on each other and hold her close.
ReplyDeleteAw, Lisa, much much love to you and Daisy. Love on each other and hold her close.

Oh, this is so sad. I'm very sorry for all of you.
ReplyDeleteOh Lisa. I'm so sorry and so sad to hear this. Giving you lots of love. Sweet Daisy too.
ReplyDeleteAs a crazy dog lady, I've loved and lost a few special dogs. Its particularly hard when they are still young like sweet Daisy. After the death of my beloved childhood dog a friend reminded me that the dogs are "just visitors", here to love us unconditionally and then they leave. They're the visitors who never stay long enough.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you and your family. xoxo
I'm so so sorry. I know (now especially) how much dogs mean to a family. Hugs to everyone.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry. Thinking about you guys and sending love to you. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of you guys all weekend. I hope that Daisy spends her last days in comfort, knowing that whatever you do, you do out of love for her. I'm so sorry, The Rosenberg's.
ReplyDeleteLots of love and wishes for comfort for Daisy
ReplyDeleteI am beyond sad to hear about this. Glad that your sweet girl is getting pampered and that you're getting to spend a little more time with her.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry Lisa. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

ReplyDeleteThis makes my heart ache. :( Sending love to your beautiful family (and sweet Daisy).
ReplyDeleteOh no! Thinking of you and your family and sending you all love and peace!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry and have been thinking of you all a lot. I hope you can all enjoy this time together with Daisy. She is lucky to have you -- lots of love to you all.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about Daisy.
ReplyDeleteOur sweet Stella was a black lab/boxer mix and somewhat resembled Daisy. Last summer we lost her to the same thing at only 9 yrs old. I still miss her terribly. Enjoy your time with your precious friend.
Again, I'm so sorry.
So sad for you and your family. My sister lost her first dog to cancer and it was such a heartbreak. xo
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear this. I am not a dog person but your writing has made this dog and her place in your family come alive to me.
ReplyDeleteI'm so so sorry. It is really a kick in the gut to hear it even when we know we don't get to enjoy them as long as we want. It is never "enough" time.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you all and lucky Daisy who is loved and cherished.
Of all the dogs who've owned us, the sweetest and best of them was also a victim of cancer at the age of 8. Many years later, my adult children still talk of Murray with pleasure and love. What a gift it is, to spend time with a wonderful dog like Daisy!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about Daisy. Having lost three dogs to cancer I know how hard this will be for you.
ReplyDeleteYou are in my thoughts. Kathryn
I'm thinking of you all, Lisa. xo.
ReplyDeleteI'm so very sorry to hear about Daisy. Hugs to all of you, human, canine and feline!
