Inventory

After we returned from trick or treating, Bob dumped his Halloween bag out on the table.

"Is this a chocolate one, Mom?"

"Yep. It's a Kit Kat."

"What flavor is this lollipop?"

"Strawberry."

"What are these?"

"Those are called Dots. They're really chewy."

"You can have those Dots, Mom." Bob then picked up the bottled water he had received as a treat from the house around the corner. "I know what this one is - it's called healthy. You can have that one too."

  1. You'll need that water with those Dots. What sort of a person would give Bob Rosenberg WATER for Trick or Treat?

  5. We got so many Dots and not nearly enough Kit Kats. We also got a lot of random off-brand candy. HELLO??? I am not getting high on OFF-BRANDS.

  6. My kids only want the plain chocolate, so they get rid of everything else because it's "junk" - I'm not about to correct them.

  7. Having recently turned eighteen and become a bona fide Adult with No Right To Go Trick Or Treating, I treasure this tale as my only means of experiencing this great but child-orientated passtime.

  8. Who could look at Bob's face and hand him water? There are some cold-hearted people in this world.

  10. Water? Seriously? What's next, little snack bags of baby carrots?!? This is like Charlie Brown and the neighbors who gave him rocks.
