It's Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. I've decided to make a Rosh Hashanah resolution. I am going to read a book a week. This will be a drastic change from my current reading pattern of not even close to a book a week. I will let you know how it's going. And what I'm reading. And what I think of what I'm reading. L'Shanah Tovah Tikatevu. (May you be inscribed (in the book of life) for a good year.) (Books are a theme, I guess.)

  1. I decided last year to read 75 books and I did it - yeah - but I am73 and my life is not at all as busy as yours (busy enough but not crazy) I read a variety of books - fiction - non-fiction biographical etc. Was it hard - really not for me - I just stopped cleaning and cooking a lot and my husband got a little nuts - but then he joined me and reads all the time now - this year I've probably read one book a week (maybe more) but I stay up reading until late at night. Love to read - come from a family of readers - I wish you great success - you end up a little smarter - a lot wiser and a greatly improved vocabulary...I hope you list the books as you read them - and recommend them if they deserve it..Thanks - Mary Ellen
