Last night, we said goodbye to our Beta fish, Dr. Allan Murray Rosenberg, Cardiologist. He lived to a ripe old age of 3-1/2 so it was surprising but not unexpected. We buried him in a matchbox in the yard. Mr. Rosenberg said Kaddish in Hebrew, the Jewish prayer of mourning.
I am used to looking at him in his glass fish bowl in the middle shelf of the dining area whenever I walk through the kitchen. We have replaced his bowl with a yellow mixing bowl with acorn trim. It's a pretty bowl. I miss Dr. Allan.
