good that he doesn't know what the words means and good for him for telling the teacher. hard when you can't protect them all day.
ReplyDeleteRight? He's figuring it all out...
DeleteHAPPY SITS DAY! What a wonderful blog you have...and an adorable little boy to boot! I'm your newest follower! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, April!
DeleteOh the things we teachers get told. Like the time my coworker's first grader told me one of my fourth graders had said, "The S word" and knowing what gets said at his house, I assumed he meant something else, when what was actually said was, "Shut up!"
ReplyDeleteHappy SITS Day!
That's brilliant! The "s" word indeed.
DeleteCute. In high school, they tell the teacher (me) things like that, too, only I'm not interested in the playful tattle-telling. This one sounds serious. Hope he is enjoying school aside from being called a sucker. Congrats on the feature. I just signed up for SITS, so this is my first blog visit and comment. I hope I'm doing it right! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laura. You are doing it very right!
DeleteChances are that the other kid didn't know what it meant either!
ReplyDeleteOne reason I could never teach grade school is that state-of-learning where don't know the difference between when to deal with something themselves and when they actually need adult interference. By the time I get them, they usually know (thank heaven!).
I bet you're right! xo L
DeleteI'm surprised if the other kid knew what it meant either! He probably heard it on tv. Happy SITS Day!
ReplyDeleteI betcha he did. Wonder what that guy's watching...
DeleteHa! Good for you Bob! Happy SITS Day
ReplyDeleteHe's trying hard!
DeleteThe other kid probably didn't know what it meant either! Happy SITS Day!
ReplyDeleteThe other kid probably didn't know what it meant either! Happy SITS Day!

ReplyDeleteThank you, Paloma!
DeleteBetter safe than sorry! Happy SITS day :-)
ReplyDeleteHa!! My daughter is also in Kindergarten. Sounds like something she'd say.
ReplyDeleteHappy SITS Day to you! I just followed your blog :) I loved your Star Wars people at the top of the page.
Thank you! It's the best family portrait we've got so far.
DeleteI'm afraid we're still dealing with people who call other people names - and my kid is in 8th grade right now. It's so nice to meet you from SITS!
ReplyDeleteYou too, Lynn!
Delete"Fred" you say?
ReplyDeleteHold my purse.
Exactly.
DeleteThanks for having Bob's back.
DeleteHave a great Sits Day! Hope you enjoy all your comment love! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's fabulous! Thanks, Stephanie!
DeleteMy kids learned lots of new words when they started kindergarten!
ReplyDeleteHappy SITSday!
Yes. This is my fear.
DeleteHappy SITS Day!
ReplyDeleteWe recently had a similar discussion except P. heard 'sucker' in a show and just figured out it wasn't nice via context. We then had an interesting discussion about sucker as a mean word versus suckers on tentacles.
Ah, the tentacles! I think I need to go over that with him!
DeleteHappy SITS day! Very funny! I remember as a child yelling the words damn it around the house and school because I didn't know what they meant and didn't understand why I was getting in trouble for saying them lol
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ari.
DeleteWell played Bob, well played.
ReplyDeletexoxo
He know what's up. Sort of.
DeleteCongrats on being Featured Blogger today! Fun blog :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kate!
DeleteOh, HIIIIIIIIIIII! Stopping in from SITS today and hope you don't mind my poking around here for a bit. I promise to leave everything as I found it.
ReplyDeleteHA! Go Bob! I totally would have done the same. XOXO
Welcome, Charlotte. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteThanks for this one. I needed the laugh this Monday morning!
Thanks, Kimberly. Have a great week.

ReplyDeleteHaha, children say the funniest things. Thanks for sharing. xxx
ReplyDeleteHe's full of 'em. xo L
DeleteI suppose it COULD be worse. "Sucker" could have started with an F. Good for Bob getting it that it was an insult, even if he didn't know what one was! Happy SITS day!!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes. Could have been much worse!
DeleteBob is adorable! Too bad about the bully, hopefully thats over with!! Happy SITS day!!
ReplyDeleteYes, we're hoping Fred has been warned...
DeleteBob is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteWe've recently moved and my 2nd grader was told he sucks, twice! I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteI have to say... well... that just sucks. Kids can be rotten little angels.
DeleteHahaha smart boy.
ReplyDeleteI love a blog that can make me laugh within the first minute of reading :)
Thank you, Nessa!
DeleteWay to go Bob!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter just started preschool a few weeks ago, I can't wait to hear the "new" words she learns.
Happy SITS day.
It's about to get very colorful! xo L
DeleteBAHAHAHAHAHAHA I love your kid. You should start a Bob Fan Club, there'd be many of us on that list :)

ReplyDeleteStopping by from SITS, and I am hooked already! :)
Thank you, Erin!
DeleteWow, that's way more that I can get out of either of my kids when they come home from school. "What did you do at school?" "Stuff. I forgot."
ReplyDeleteHappy SITS day.
Thanks, Katherine! He's a sharer. This is mostly a good thing.xo
DeleteMy son never tells me anything about school. He's in first grade.
ReplyDeleteHappy SITS Day!
Sometimes I do compare notes with the other moms to see what really goes down in the class...
Deletecute entry! :) Happy SITS DAY!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Roselle!
DeleteHappy SITS Day! Kids are too funny aren't they. I'm a teacher and my kids are always cracking me up...when they're not driving me nuts.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Melissa. You must have a million stories. xo
DeleteI love some of the things kids say -- especially when they aren't trying to be funny...
ReplyDeleteHappy SITS day!
Exactly. xo
DeleteHappy "Belated" SITS Day!! I think Bob is a natural-born comedian. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Toia. He thinks so too. xo
