Twice

 
"Mom? What if we had two lives?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean like what if you could live to be one hundred and then die and then come back and live another whole life?"

"Some people think we do."

"Mom, I think I'm one of those people."

    2. I am no palm reader but got one done at a party and was told that I have the classic signs of an "old soul" - deep etched lines between my heart and head lines and base of my palm. Who knows.

  3. I love this comment by Bob. It reminds me of something Jesus said, "Become like children." Not stay like children, not don't mature, but be open to understanding like children. Pretty heavy to me. In all the work of parenting (I'm a mere step-dad and don't have the intimacy with it that folks like you do!), I think that if parents can make time to explore this stuff with their children, we'd all be a lot better off. That you have this Smacksy accounting of it all is a leap forward in that regard, I think.
