"Mom, when Teddy was kissing Daisy's face the other day before you left, do you think he was saying goodbye to her?"
"Yes I do."
"Do you think he's sad and misses her?"
"Yeah, I think we all do."
"Is Teddy going to be okay?"
"He's still eating and playing. He'll be okay, and so will you."
"I'm still eating too. So... can I have some of my leftover Easter candy with breakfast?"
Oh, so sweet.
ReplyDeleteAnd I vote yes on Easter candy with breakfast.
XOXO

Poor Teddy. It's always hardest on the companion dogs.
ReplyDeleteHe's a sweet guy. xo
DeleteI know in my heart that Stella, Vi and Pearl were all there to welcome Daisy home. Teddy is so lucky to have you guys.
ReplyDeleteGive him extra snacks from me today.
Giant hugs.

DeleteSnacks for everyone!

I enjoy your blog very much. It's one of the few I make sure to read every day. I'm so sorry about your dog, Daisy. Thank you for sharing the story of how you found her.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cheryl. xo
DeletePoor Teddy. Give him a hug from us, ok? And maybe a few treats.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. xo
DeleteI can't handle this story. In fact I was talking about you guys (sorry, mostly Teddy and Daisy) at a family gathering last night. Please get Teddy a friend soon. I can't stand that picture of him on the couch. My heart!!
ReplyDeleteLove you, Becky. xo
DeleteI'm crying and laughing at the same time. Wish I could give you all hugs and a giant pig ear for Teddy.
ReplyDeleteThat pic of Teddy is very sad. I am achey. Stirrup died one year ago on April 16. Molly
ReplyDeleteThe Cosmos bless you all.
ReplyDeleteFunny, I had two dogs named Teddy and Daisy.
