Jingle Bells by Bob Rosenberg

Jingle Bells
lyric interpretation by Bob Rosenberg
Dashing through a snow
In a soap and opens lay
Or the fees we go
Laughing on a way
Ha! Ha! Ha!
Bells on bobs on swings
Making fear-its bite
What fun it is to laugh and sing
As laying on a night
Oh!
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle on a way
Oh what fun it is to write
On a soap and opens plate
Hey!

  1. Beyond wonderful.

I always hope to have something by Bob, just to have on my nightstand, to fall asleep, too.

He makes all things right with the world for me.

  2. Oh! I'd always thought it was "making ferrets bite."

To be honest, as a kid I heard "one-horse soap 'n sleigh." I blame the Slip 'n Slide.

  3. '...the little lord Jesus asleep in the hedge' was always an Away in a Manger favourite in our house when we were little and we still sing it every year.
Let's hope Bob has his own tradition too.

  4. I always thought onehorsopenslay was one word. Now I find out it's about soap. Oy.

My favorite is bells on bobs on swings. A true classic.

  6. Makes as much sense to Bob Rosenberg, I am sure, as the original.
    Pretty much to me, too.

  10. Yes, "bells on bobs on swings" is definitely the best. And probably more likely to happen in southern California than whatever the real words are about snow and horses.

    Bravo, Bob! :)

  13. I'm pretty sure I just heard Bob's version of Jingle Bells on Coast 103.5

But it may have just been Christmas Shoes again. I don't know. I tend to black out when they play Christmas Shoes.

  14. Well, at least it's more family friendly than my son's version from many years ago ... "one whore selfin sleigh" ... *thinks - hmm, now he's nearly 18 I must remind him of this*

  15. Love it!!

It's certainly better then hearing "Jingle bells, Batman smells" eight million times a day. Just wait until he's seven!!
