He Knows Things

"Mom? Is your heart broken because you miss Pearl?"

"Yeah, a little. Where did you learn about broken hearts?"

"In Star Wars: Episode Three, Padme's heart gets broken by Anakin. Heart breaking means you're sad."

"It does."

"Yours will un-break later, right?"

    Unfortunately, Bob, "later" is sometimes farther away than a 4-year-old can comprehend, especially when the heartbreak is not about a cat.
