Bob at the Vegan Restaurant: A Review

"Mom! This is horrible! It's too spicy! This doesn't look like cheese. Is this supposed to be cheese? It's like a pretend. Who would eat here? This seems like a grown up restaurant... Yes, I see the other kids here but I don't know why they are eating this. It's super terrible and yes I tried it! I tried it with my whole mouth! These aren't really mashed potatoes. Where is the salt? Dad? How am I supposed to eat this without salt?!"

  3. You can just rename this post "Scott at the Vegan Restaurant" and it would be the same.

  4. Poor Bob. Pretend cheese and no salt. Harsh. Very harsh.

  5. I believe, that out of all the wonderful posts here, this one might be the world favorite.

    Bob, I love you.

Thanks for speaking for the people.

  6. Oh Bob, how dare they make you eat fake cheese and not have salt. Come to my house, and you can join in on the family salt-lick hour.

  8. First - the title alone is pure awesomeness. Second--that's kind of how I felt when I tried a vegan place. Well..not kind of. ExACTly.

  9. I could live without the salt, but fake cheese is a crime.
My poor mother dealt with my opinions for years and years. I wasn't particularly picky about food (but then, vegan restaurants didn't exist in those days), but I LOATHED shopping for clothes. And when she or the clerk suggested something ugly or uncomfortable, I was just as shy as Bob at announcing my opinions on the subject.

  10. I love it, and agree wholeheartedly that fake food sucks. Tofurkey? Not that I'm against tofu, but when you try to pass it off as turkey or beef or anything it is not, bleah! Go, Bob, go.

  13. Bob, your parents are NUTS. There is NOTHING wrong with being vegetarian! Tell them that your whole mouth needs some real cheese!
