Smacksy Saturday Photo: I Was A Teen Elf


So this is 16 year-old me at my holiday after-school job at the Capitola Mall. My friend Scott, also 16, is Santa.

This is not the primary thing I would like to have in common with David Sedaris, but so far, it is.

You have 20 shopping days left, less if you're doing Hanukah. Happy Ho Ho.

    Oh, I am so glad you shared this. Who didn't work in the mall at 16, right? I sure did, but got away without the elf costume. I am kind of wishing I didn't. ;)

    You're gorgeous! And it makes it a lot less creepy that the Santa is your age. A little fuh-reek-ay, but not creepy!

    I never had cool jobs like that. I was too busy sneaking around at the after-hours clubs selling drugs. Stupid past full of bad choices! LOL!

    And I love your puffy bangs. That sounds sarcastic, but it's totally not. The whole thing reminds me of a Bettie Page layout I saw once...
