The Team
"Mom? Mia's on my team."
"Is that right?"
"Yeah and so are all the guys in my class and Ringo and Ava and Tommy and Ivan."
"What team are we talking about, Bob?"
"You know my team. My team for my life."
"That sounds like a winning team."
"It is. For real."

Bob is the best. I'm so happy that I found your blog. I love every single one of your conversations! <3
ReplyDeleteI must say, though, that my favorite is the one where he can't have the "spicy" toothpaste anymore. =]
What a smart kid. . . .Lord knows we all need winning teams. . . .
ReplyDeleteYes. We all do need teams. I'd be on Bob Rosenberg's team is he wanted me to be.
ReplyDeletePlease let Bob know I'm also on his team.
ReplyDeleteFor real.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful metaphor for life each day...thinking in the perspective of a young child. Love reading this! Thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteBob learned really early what we learned much later in life. We all need a Team for our life. I'm glad I'm on your team.
ReplyDeleteWill Bob pick me for his team, too? I need to be picked. Please?
ReplyDeletemy team for life. that is AWESOME.
ReplyDeletefantastic. for real.
ReplyDeleteBob just gets it
ReplyDeletehe's so mature in what he says. i love it!!
ReplyDeleteI hope Bob picks me for his team and it's not like when I was in grade school and NEVER got picked for anything. And Bob has a friend named Ringo??
ReplyDeleteI want to be on Bob and Ringo's team so bad I don't even mind if I'm picked last and have to be back-up catcher. I don't mind if I'm waterboy. (Er... watermiddleagedwoman, actually.)
ReplyDeleteYou're lucky to be on Bob's team!
