Civic Duties


 "I still don't understand why I can't vote."

"You have to be eighteen-years-old, Bob."

"Are you sure? I heard 'every vote counts.' Doesn't that include mine?"

"Not yet. It will in twelve years."

"Can I go with you and watch you vote?"

"Always."

  4. AWW that's ridiculously cute. That is probably what my kid will do... it will also protest to lower the voting age because being told they have to wait will not be a "good enough" reason. LOL.

My 24-year-old daughter's facebook post yesterday (I used to take her with me when I voted when she was about Bob's age): "I voted, but gave my 'I voted today' sticker to a little girl who was at the polls with her mom to learn about elections. Glad to see that tradition carried on. The important thing is that I voted. You should too."

    Nice to know they remember those childhood lessons!

  8. I wonder if everyone kept the children's future in mind while casting their ballots if we'd all realize just how important our votes really are.
