Hiding Places

"Bob! What is all this behind the couch?"

"Oh... that's just where I... um... put my broccoli and stuff."

"How long have you been hiding food back here?"

"It's not all the food, Mom. Just the stuff I don't want."

"Yeah, I get it. I've got to tell your dad about this."

"Don't tell Dad. That's tattling."

"It's not tattling, it's parenting."

"Don't do parenting."

  1. Note to self: find new broccoli hiding place before next time Lisa comes over. Also, push sofa all the way against the wall.

He should just do what my kids do: drop it for the dog.

  4. Watch out. He's gonna start making you watch after school specials on parental tattling and bullying.

  5. When I was a kid, I used to unscrew the bed knobs on the four posts of my bed, and stuff my green beans into the small cavity inside, then screw the knobs back on. It took my mom awhile to figure out what was causing the smell in my room...
