Marathon Man

Jeff and his father, Bob Rosenberg, circa 1980

Mr. Rosenberg is the maniac runner in the family. (I am the avid sitter and sometimes low-speed walker.) He is currently in training for the LA Marathon taking place in March. He will be running in just a few hours, more miles than I care to drive in a day.

This is a very personal event for him. He is running with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Team in Training and will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkins disease and myeloma.

He will be running in honor of family friend Randy Peterson who is currently undergoing stem cell treatment. He will also be running in memory of his father, Robert N. Rosenberg, who passed away in 1987 after a battle with leukemia.

  1. And my first thought is how wonderful it is that stem cell research has finally been allowed to progress again in this country! Here's to finding a cure!

  3. What a beautiful way to honor Mr. Robert Rosenberg! I hope he runs strong and connects with his father in every step. There's something spiritual about it all, don't you think?

  4. I don't normally comment, but this is one I couldn't pass up. The LLS is very near and dear to my heart. One of my absolute favorite moments in life was crossing the finish line at a Team in Training event and seeing my dear friend who is recovering from leukemia standing there, cheering me on. I cannot help but be more and more impressed with your family the more I read your blog! Keep up the good work!
