Lunchtime

"Bob? Do you want a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or turkey and cheese?"

"I want a turkey and cheese and mayonnaise and bread sandwich. It's the best kind of sandwich. It's really, really good."

"Please?"

"Please."

"Okay."

"And Mom? You know what else is good?"

"What's that?"

"Bones are good."

"For lunch?"

"No. Bones are good for holding your body together and making it so you can have a face and do things."

"That's true."

"Mom? It's really, really true."

  2. I'm a fan of my bones! Maybe Bob should work for the Dairy Counsel?

  3. His mind, so free to just think and let it wander. I miss that ability...we are all so busy, and don't just lay and eat an apple and let the thoughts come.

    Beautiful.

  4. Say, how did you get Bob to eat an apple without peeling it first? I'm really obsessed about that.

  5. Hehe. Levi tells me that he likes to eat bones. Not that he's ever actually attempted it.

  6. The truth according to Bob. What could be better?

  7. Have I run out of ways to say I love that kid?

  8. How true. If you don't have bones, you'd be a fillet o' human and you'd never be able to properly enjoy a delicious turkey, cheese, mayo and bread sandwich. (The #7)
