Dinner Talk

photo from here

"Dad? May I be excused?"

"Eat a couple more bites of your broccoli first."

"But I'm done."

"You need to eat your vegetables to get big and strong."

"But I don't want to be big and strong and grown up and have kids. I don't know how to that. How do you even do the have kids part?"

"You just figure it out as you go along, buddy."

  1. And figuring it out takes lots of strength.

  2. Wow, who knew the good ol' "eat your vegetables so you'll be big and strong" could lead so seamlessly to the oft dreaded "where do babies come from?"

    Good answer, Dad.

  3. Cutest. These make my day(s)...

  4. Did I tell you this one? When she was 3, Annie toddled in to where accordion man was shaving, towel around waist. His 'organ' popped out, and Annie pointed to it and said, "What's that?" Accordion man looked down at it, paused, and then said, "I don't know." The facts of life, father style...xo molly
