Dear Violet, I envy you. My boy chases me down and I know I can't run. I can't hide. He always finds me. He picks me up. At least he stopped picking me up by my head. I didn't like that. But carries me and makes me lay down with him. I have to purr and make nice.
Wow, what a great shot. I can't believe the kitty actually diverted my attention from Bob, with her bliss-face. Am a bit jealous because I finally, after years of asking my daughter (who is older than Bob) things like "would you whirl grandma around by the neck like that? Because that's what you're doing with Tru -- she's as old as grandma... for a cat" she has finally chilled out and learned how to treat our ancient pet.
I spent 16 years in the television business. I worked, by turns, as a writer, director, producer, casting associate, and the gal who gets everybody’s Starbucks order. Later, I spent time as a counselor at an outpatient program for adorable teens with un-adorable psych and addiction issues. Working in the orbit of actors, rock stars, comedians, and teenagers prepared me for my current gig as the stay-at-home mother of a kindergartner named Bob. Now, it’s like the circus has come to town everyday. I am living the dream.
OK, that little boy looks JUST LIKE YOU from the nose up.
ReplyDeleteCharming...
I see that Violet has claimed her place as Queen of the Universe.
ReplyDeleteAll as it should be.
ah... that's lovely!
ReplyDeleteThat pillow looks a lot more comfortable than the back of the washing machine. Lucky Violet. Lucky Rosenbergs.
ReplyDeleteViolet has transformed. Wow! You guys done good.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like she's the happiest cat in the world.

That's wonderful. And, man does Bob rock the orange shirt. A-dorable!
ReplyDeleteMy cat will see this later and glare after my kid tried to chase her down the stairs earlier.
