This fascinating clip from the BBC shows 200 years of world progress in just four minutes.

This SNL sketch makes me laugh in that horrifying it's-funny-because-it's-true way.

In the top 10 cute photos of last year, #10 and #9 are my favorites.

    I laughed so hard that I almost spit coffee all over my kitchen table. I have to say. . . that is totally true. Sad, yeah. . . but definitely true.

    And that picture #10! OMG. That seal is me, man! Love it.

    And I'm glad I'm not the only person who loves those cute animals. It's almost embarrassing but dang! who doesn't love a cute animal?

    Checked them from the bottom up, but the enthusiastic guy's clip was amazing. So fascinating. And yeah, Norman the doorman was funny, but the two clips link up in a have/have-not way that's sad but true.
    Also: Where's Bob? #11?

    Because if it is, I think you've just showed me one MORE thing my waffle maker can make.
