Sheltered
Today it rained for the fourth day in a row. Bob and I were headed to meet up with friends at the indoor playground in the mall. We wandered through the food court, taking what we came to learn was the long way. Having been to this mall exactly one other time, I had no idea where we were or where we were going or where the indoor playground was in relation to our nearest landmark, Hot Dog on a Stick.
Bob's experience in this mall, or any mall, was even less than my own. He looked down the rows of stores and asked, "Mom? Are we at the airport?"

Hot Dog on the Stick must be the most humiliating, Fast Times At Richmond High worthy places to work ever.
ReplyDeleteBwahahaha. Bob's adorable. :D
ReplyDeleteI think that's a very fair assumption to make, given that most airports now look like malls!
ReplyDeleteJX
Bob's flown more than he's malled? Me too. I think that's part of our sympatico.
ReplyDeleteYes. That does imply a certain sophistication on the part of Bob Rosenberg.
ReplyDeleteI thought that WAS a picture of an airport....
ReplyDeleteHaha!
ReplyDeleteI've been in so many malls and airports, they all look the same to me.
ReplyDeleteWe grew up our children on the farm. The 1st time I took them to the mall one of them asked, "Is this the fair?"
ReplyDeleteSmart kid. They do look about the same. Just no duty free at the mall :)
ReplyDeleteyou're posts make my day. Everyday i check my dashboard hoping that you've written anew post- and usually you have.
ReplyDeleteHuh...airport / mall...either way, a LOT of walking
ReplyDeleteDid you say something after "Hot Dog on a Stick"?
ReplyDeleteWow, because hot dogs are so awkward and difficult to eat. What's next -- burger on a necklace? And yeah, airports look like malls, but at least at the airport there's something down that long, tubelike corridor besides the bathrooms. You get to go on a plane!
ReplyDeleteAirport? Interesting
