That's A No For Me

I’ve never fancied myself anything close to an amazing singer but on most days I can sort of carry a tune. When driving with Bob in the car recently I sang along with the radio, belting out Little Red Corvette. A classic. After the chorus, Bob interrupted me.

“Mama? Mama! Stop that nasty noise!”

"What did you say?"

"Please, Mama. I'm saying please."

I know Bob’s a Prince fan so he was not talking about the song choice.

I heard Simon’s leaving Idol after this season so I guess there's an opening. I think Bob might have a future in television.

  1. Ooh, that's harsh. Out of the mouth of babes, one never knows what they'll hear.

  3. I love your posts. That's just hilarious and what a perfect picture. I must admit my youngest son has said something similar to me in the car..."mommy, you're not the best singer in the world!" And he's 3!!!

  4. My baby used to cry when I sang. Now she does what Bob did. I gave up singing.

  5. Growing up, my family always told me to stop singing.

So of course I went on to become a full-fledged musical theater freak.

My kids have picked up where my family of origin left off.

Karaoke may soon be my only recourse...

  7. BOB'S JUST JEALOUS OF YOUR FABULOUS VOCAL CHORDS!

Actually, he's probably jealous of Prince getting all your attention!
