"What's that, honey?"
"I am just going to call you what my friends call you: Bob's Mom."
"I don't think I'll like that."
"But you are Bob's mom. I'm Bob."
"I get that part. I like just 'Mama' better."
"Bob's Mom? Can I have a juice please, Bob's Mom?"
"Bob?"
"Yes, Bob's Mom?"
"Never mind. Let's get you a juice."
"With the curvy straw please, Bob's Mom."
"Right."
Deep thinking. Some day his head is going to explode. Please don't post on that day. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteMight as well embrace it you will forever be Bob's Mom. I introduce myself as Katelyn's Mom still she is 16!
ReplyDeleteHe is going to keep this up, and we are loving it!
ReplyDeleteSo many ideas, so much time. When does that soccer camp start?
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious, Bob's Mom. It's like he's lining up all the little Bob's Mom buttons to push.

I vote for you calling him: "Lisa's Son".
ReplyDeleteI do also like "Knadele's Godson"... so you choose.
"But you are Bob's mom. I'm Bob." Ohhhh, NOW I get it. Glad he explained it for you. Do all his friends really call you Bob's mom? Not just say, "Bob, your mom's here" but say "Bob's mom, do you know what Bob just did?" (It was cute, don't worry.) That's awesome.
ReplyDeleteReally, they do.
ReplyDelete"Hi Bob's Mom!Did you bring school snack today, Bob's Mom?"
Yes...it's a badge to wear proudly...I'm Madi's mom and Zane's mom. The friends are a bit more articulate now however. At 13 and 15 I've now become Ms. Sutton...I liked Madi's mom and Zane's mom better.
ReplyDeleteHa! My kids have decided to start calling me Jessica, but only when I'm not paying attention. I can't like it.
